I Introduction to HFUT
Hefei University of Technology is a national key university administrated directly by the Ministry of Education of China. It was founded in 1945, and listed as one of the universities of Project 211 in 2005 and Program 985 in 2009 which are major national initiatives seeking to enhance the international competitiveness of the top-tier universities. In 2017, HFUT was included in the list of “Double First Class” plan, the country’s construction plan of world-class universities and first-class disciplines. Eight disciplines of the university have entered the top 1% of the global ESI ranking, and its engineering science disciplines have entered the top 1‰ of the global ESI ranking.

III Eligibility
Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy.
Applicants must have a high school diploma with a good academic record and should not be older than 25.
Applicants must have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK4.

VI Requirements for Annual Review
In order to continue enjoying the scholarship, scholarship students must take part in the annual review of the scholarship qualification. The annual evaluation of the scholarship generally starts in early April each year. Students must fill in the "Comprehensive Annual Evaluation Form for Scholarship" and submit relevant materials. Only those who pass the assessment can continue to enjoy the scholarship, and those who fail the assessment will be suspended or cancel the scholarship qualification. Students with outstanding annual evaluations will have the opportunity to receive the HFUT Outstanding International Student Scholarship (3000-8000 RMB/person).
VII Application Procedures
1. Register and apply at the online service system of Hefei University of Technology (http://admission.hfut.edu.cn) between April 1, 2023 and July 15, 2023.
The following documents will need to be uploaded.
(1) Copy of passport home page. Applicants must submit a clear scanned copy of the front page of their ordinary passport. If the validity of the applicant’s current passport does not meet the requirement (meaning that the passport expires before September 2023), please renew it before submitting the application.
(2) Notarized highest diploma. For the graduates to obtain their degrees, they should submit a pre-graduation certificate to guarantee that they have the competence to complete their studies and acquire the degree by July. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized English translations.
(3) Academic transcripts. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized English translations.
(4) Language qualification certificates. HSK 4 certificate.
(5) Study plan. The study plan (200 words or more) can only be written in Chinese or English. It should state your understanding of the applied major, and the reasons for choosing to study this major in HFUT.
(6) Copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. (Refer to Appendix 2) The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take a physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
(7) Non-criminal record report. Issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
Reminder: Uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants are recommended to use a professional device to scan the relevant documents. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials.
2. After submitting the online application, you will receive our review feedback within 3 workdays. If you receive the notice for resubmission, please re-upload the documents as required before the application deadline.
3. The result will be sent via system message and email. Those who have passed the review will receive the Admission Letter issued by Hefei University of Technology.
Reminder:
The applicants are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of the submitted information and documents. If any dishonesty or falsification was found, the application would be invalid.
VIII Registration
1. New students will start studying at Hefei University of Technology in early September 2023. You will find the specific dates of registration on the admission notice.
2. When coming to HFUT to register, the new students shall bring the admission notice, JW202 form, physical examination report, original copy of highest diploma, etc. and submit to the school to review the scholarship qualification. (If the original copies are in languages other than Chinese or English, notarized English translations will need to be submitted.) The scholarship of those who fail the review will be canceled.
